Being a Sharefish in a Selfish World
The book is almost finished! I am compiling some quotes from some awesome folks who have read preview copies. I will list some of these humbling thoughts at the front of the book. What a journey this has been!
The Big Picture
When trying to sum up your world view it's always wise to turn to a great master for guidance. In this particular case, I will defer to my wonderful mother, God rest her soul. Her mantra for my two sisters and me was "It's better to be a Sharefish than a Selfish."
Our world continues to shrink (or flatten, depending on which author you like) in our business and personal lives. When we search for what our lives are all about and how we can make a difference, it is becoming easier to look into our mirrors - instead of out of our windows - for the answer.
The folks who are looking out of their windows for opportunities to help others are the Sharefish that are changing the world. Sometimes it's just one person's world at a time. Sometimes it's a whole town or village's world. Sometimes, the reach is even further.
